Hip Hop icons the Wu-Tang Clan have spoken about spending time in the recording studio together – but it’s not for a Wu album – they’re collaborating with D-Block on a new album, expected out later this year.

RZA, who is hard at work preparing for the release of his debut kung fu flick The Man With The Iron Fists, and the rest of the Clan seldom come together to record – but they have hinted they will return for their 20th anniversary next year.

Ghostface Killah said: “We were in the studio last week.

“It’s a Wu-Block project that we’re doing – it’s like D Block mixed with Wu-Tang and it’s going to be crazy. It’s going to be out in September.”

Raekwon and their tour DJ, DJ Symphony, were at the European premiere of Ice-T’s directorial debut, Something From Nothing: The Art Of Rap.

Rae said: “We’re all scattered out right now, doing solo things at the moment, but you will definitely hear something from us really soon.

“Next year will be our 20 years in the business so you’ll see.”
