Eliza Doolittle is playing The Shipping Forecast tomorrow and Purple Revolver have two tickets up for grabs to see the show at Liverpool’s coolest new hotspot.
The songbird was in town recently for SoundCity gig in Studio 2, Parr Street and she is more than happy to come back to Liverpool, a city she holds a strong affinity with.
The talented London singer professed her love of the city saying, “I love Liverpool and I don’t often get to play here so it will be great to play to some of my Liverpudlian friends.”
The much heralded Doolittle has been labelled as Indie’s answer to Lily Allen, but she does not like to be pigeonholed as such saying, “My music is not a particular genre. I don’t like to be compared to other people around now. It’s not bubblegum or cheese. It’s just good songs, pop songs. It’s just my songs.”
So if you fancy a slice of Miss Doolittle’s summery pop offerings at The Shipping Forecast then answer the following question:
From what George Bernard Shaw play was Eliza Doolittle’s name inspired?

Winners will be announced mid-day tomorrow.
