Get your diary out, kids – failing that, grab a permanent marker and scrawl this date down on your nearest pals face: 3 July, O2 Academy.

The occasion? Self-destructive tumultuous youths The Temps are headlining the venue and we can’t help but big time push the recommendation to get yourself to the front of the stage and trash yourself about the place to their dulcet, raw energy, aggro-tones.

The lads were the talk of Liverpool Sound City following a succession of blazing live shows, including an acclaimed support slot with The Fall in which they managed to charm and win over notoriously grumpy Fall front man Mark. E Smith, showcasing the kind of feral, savage performances that seem very likely to end in A&E one of these days.

The buzz surrounding these lads is bound to grow over the upcoming months with fresh recordings on the go, and promoters clambering to book ‘em round the country – so we recommend you catch them now whilst the buzz is fresh and you can still get brutal at the front of the crowd without the impudence of bandwagon jumpers getting in your way.

Supporting The Temps are fellow local buzz band The Envy, atmospheric instrumentalists MinionTV, 90’s alt-rock reminiscent Stereo Virgins and A Number Of Fires.

See you in the pit, girls and boys.
