Following a four-year breather from the scene, heavyweight US metal heroes Killing Machine are set to rip and smash their way through your speakers once more.

The current line-up includes Csaba Zyekan on vocals, Peter Scheithauer (ex Temple of Brutality/Belladonna) on the axe and Jon Dette (ex Testament/Slayer) pounding the cans, the band will be announcing the new bassist soon, after the recent departure of Dave Ellefson who has rejoined the metal institution that is Megadeth.

“I am really excited about this new page in Killing Machine’s odyssey.” exclaims guitarist Peter Scheithauer, admitting that ‘For once I took my time writing this CD. Knowing Csaba had finally joined the band meant there were no set time limits to work to.”

Scheithauer explains how he’s been trying to get this line-up together for the long haul, but until now “distance prohibited it” and regarding new recruits he enthuses ‘These two guys have so much to show.

“I can’t wait to hit the road with them. The new bass player? He’s a perfect match. That’s all I can say about him at the moment.”

Killing machine have previously released two albums, the self-titled Killing Machine in 2000 [candlelight records] and the critically acclaimed Metalmorphis in 2006 [mausoleum records], hailed by many pit-slammers as one of the all time classic metal albums.

Heading over to Europe in the summer, Killing Machine will release details of live dates soon.

If after reading this you find yourself now screaming at the screen ‘When you swine…when??!!” … well I still wouldn’t be able to tell you, but, to alleviate the pressure a little I can tell you that two new tracks Skull and Bone and Hell Raiser are available for your audio delight right now on www.myspace.com/killingmachineusa

Hopefully that’ll keep you going ’til the new album finds it’s way into the world, which should be some time towards the end of the year.
