Luna is Honey announce new single

Luna is Honey have released their new single Claws and have posted a free link to the track on their Myspace page.

Luna is Honey originate from LA and have crafted a sound which incorporates a DIY philosophy with a punk intensity and pop sensibilities.

Having self-released two full-length albums on CD-R and cassette formats (2008’s Rhino Sinners and 2009’s Raptor Red), the group have crafted what may be their most accessible, most immediately enjoyable release yet.

The band members cite influences as varied as Prince, Elvis Costello, My Bloody Valentine, Brian Eno and The Cure. Robert Smith’s influence seems particularly prevalent on their new track claws with the melancholy lyrics and instrumentation.
