Lil Wayne has set a brand new release date for his highly anticipated new joint, Tha Carter IV. Originally due for release on May 16th, the Six Foot Seven star has pushed it back until June 21st.
Young Money president Mack Maine spoke to MTV and confirmed the delay and the reasons behind them, ‘He’s still perfecting a few things, he’s a perfectionist … changing a few lines.’
He added that there is still one more banger to come out of the studio, ‘We also have a huge record that wasn’t done yet. We’re in L.A. right now. We have a little studio time and it should be done probably by Monday.’
Maine also revealed that the internet-leaked video for If I Die Today is not the finished article and fans can expect an even more head-banging version to come out soon.
Weezy is currently filming a cameo for J-Lo’s brand spanking new single and video, I’m Into You.
