Beliebers all over the world are about to suffer from a hot flush as their idol, Justin Bieber, serenades them with his brand new single, Boyfriend.
Justin has been doing the rounds as ever, jetting all over the world and whatnot, but he took time out of his busy schedule to visit his two favourite football clubs recently, Chelsea and Barcelona.
He wore the kits of both, and had a kick about with Fernando Torres and Frank Lampard when he was in London.
Now he is back to doing what he does best, releasing hit singles and making teenage girls weak at the knees. His new single is set to be released in the UK on Sunday 8th April and droves of his adoring fans have already snapped up their copy from the iTunes store.
The single has already reached number #2 in the iTunes chart, and is the first advance single from his new studio album BELIEVE, which is due out this summer.
Boyfriend is a more mature sounding record, and has a definite Justin Timberlake vibe with the slowed down spoken word made popular in Senorita. This track was written by Justin Bieber himself, along with Mike Posner, Mason D. Levy and Mat Musto.
With worldwide album sales in excess of 15 million units, Justin has dominated pop culture and social media since he first burst onto the scene as a child star.
He has over 41 million Facebook followers, and nearly 19 million Twitter followers, not to mention 2.7 billion YouTube views – he is far and away the most popular YouTube artist of all time, and he is still only 18 years of age!
Justin won the BRIT Award for International Newcomer in 2011 and the same year, he completed an incredible sold out UK arena tour which included two 02 Arena shows. He has already sold in excess of 2 million records in the UK alone.
The video has yet to be released but Justin has been sending his fans sneak peaks from the shoot via the social networking site Twitter, which shows him whispering sweet nothings into a young ladies ear. His silhouette also dances in front of the moon with the help of some CGI.
The One Time singer has also talked about what we can expect from his new album, saying: “The album, in general, is just really new and fresh and I think people are going to be really happy to hear it.”
But he does not want fans to think he is a one trick pony, and has intimated that there are a few surprises in store on the new LP.
He said: “I mean, my whole album is so different and every song’s different on the album, and I think that what’s special about it is nothing sounds the same.”
