Ian Brown guests on Alex Metric and Steve Angello song

Mysterious indie legend Ian Brown is due to add another string to his bow with vocal duties on Alex Metric and Steve Angello’s new song Open Your Eyes.

The single is set for release May 1, although the instrumental version has already won radio airplay and has been doing the rounds in the clubs since January.

In typical laidback style Brown said he was ‘made up to be on board.’

Open Your Eyes is the title track on Metric’s upcoming album – featuring original material as well as remixes – due for release in the summer.

In June 2009, Metric joined Radio 1’s In New DJs We Trust with his first show, until leaving his post at the station last year to focus on his music.
