After the huge response to last year’s inaugural Fiesta Obscenic fundraiser, the one day alternative music festival is returning this weekend.

The Wolstenholme Creative Space on Parr St will play host over thirty bands from noon til 2am onwards.

Last year’s event raised more than £700 for Ovarian Cancer Research with year’s fixture staged to aid those affected by the humanitarian crises in Libya and Japan. This year’s chosen charity is the British Red Cross.

The organisers said: “The basic idea is to bring as many great music scenes together in Liverpool as possible, while doing something good for people who need money and support.”

It’s a humble affair in a tight and cosy environment.

For revellers who still haven’t had their fix, proceedings wind down with after party music and good vibes courtesy of Happy Endings DJs and Alliance Hi-Fi.

The festival runs from noon on Saturday til 2am, with a £5 minimum donation on the door.
