One of the stand out star’s of Dot To Dot had to be the soulful crooner Ed Sheeran who is taking on all comers.
He pulled a full house in Bristol, mid-afternoon at the 02 Academy and left them begging for more and pleased baying crowds with phones aloft to capture his unique stage show in Nottingham and Manchester.
Ed shot to prominence after overshadowing James Morrison’s one year gig record (200) by playing over 312 gigs after moving to London from his Yorkshire roots.
The gigging got him noticed and led to touring with Just Jack and Example, but fed up with the Big Smoke, Ed traded pavements for sidewalks and hopped on a plane for LA.
Hitting the open mic nights in the City of Angels, he was spotted by Jamie Foxx and was invited to record with him at the rapper/actor/comedian’s house.
Watch this space – Ed’s taking over.
