Chris Lorenzo releases his debut album ‘Destroy The Image’

Championed for pioneering his hometown of Birmingham’s rising sound, a fusion of jackin’ house and bassline, which he coined ‘house & bass, Chris Lorenzo releases his debut album ‘Destroy The Image’ on November 25th. Self-released on Chris’ own label Sixty6Music, ‘Destroy The Image’ is a twelve track journey of house & bass, with features from DJ and production legend DJ Zine and more. ‘Come Down’ the first single from the album has already amassed over 150K plays on SoundCloud.

Having built up specialist support with releases on a plethora of tastemaker labels, including Claude Von Stroke’s Dirtybird label, Shadow Child & Kry Wolf’s lauded Food Music and AC Slater’s Night Bass, Chris Lorenzo has also become prolific on the remix front, putting his trademark spin on the likes of Disclosure, Ed Sheeran, Rudimental, 99 Souls and A Trak, plus many others.

Co-signs have come from the likes of Steve Aoki and Skrillex, the latter who turned up unannounced at Chris’ gig at Night Bass in Hollywood, and duly whisked him off to his studio to collaborate. Shows in Europe with Skrillex followed and Steve Aoki also flew Chris to play alongside him at his Pacha Ibiza residency. Chris was also enlisted by A-Trak to remix his recent single ‘Parallel Lines’ ft. Phantogram.

2015 saw a host of releases and collaborations from Chris, his collaboration ‘Rhymes’ with Hannah Wants reached No.13 in the UK chart, released on Virgin EMI, and a collaboration house staple Chris Lake, released through Ultra Records.
