Alexia Coley has announced a Smoove (Smoove & Turrell) Remix of her New Single “Beautiful Waste of Time.”
The West London singer/song writer, who in recent months has carved a name for herself in the Capital’s music scene, has created a dance floor friendly remix, which is set to be tearing up clubs and festivals this summer with her label mates Smoove & Turrell.
With 6 Music’s Craig Charles and BBC London’s Robert Elms adding to her growing fan base, it won’t be long till her name is regularly heard on the airwaves.
Beautiful Waste Of Time, which she originally co-wrote with her former Rotten Hill band mates Gary McPherson and Andrew Shapps is set to become a hit, with Italy already making her a regular on their national airwaves.
The song, which was never committed to record, was re-recorded with her current band and Dr. Rubberfunk, who by mmixing up the sounds, made the song her own.
Having a jazz singing background helped the curly haired beauty to incorporate a classic soul and jazz vibe into her music, while also giving it the edge of a girl who grew up round Ladbroke Grove, known for it’s psychedelic history.
Her timeless songs can be heard at numerous gigs around London with the soulful singer regularly being found accompanying DJs and jazz players, such as Ronnie Scotts, on bills which are destined to please crowds by emitting vibes of jazz, funk and danceable beats.
Her single is released on June, 2 and is set to become a summer favourite.
