The Muppets parody The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

In the latest trailer for the upcoming Muppets movie, Kermit, Miss Piggy and the rest of Jim Henson’s creations spoof The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trailer.

Cameos in the parody include Sarah Silverman and Rashida Jones alongside stars of the movie Jason Segel and Amy Adams.

Segel (How I Met Your Mother and Forgetting Sarah Marshal) co-wrote the film with Jim Henson and he explained what drew him to the project;

“Kermit made me want to be an actor when I was a kid. When you’re a kid he’s Tom Hanks​, or Jimmy Stewart​.”

“I’m a puppet nerd. My house if full of puppets – which is why I’m still single.”

The Muppets have already spoofed the Green Lantern and The Hangover II in the run up to their November 23rd release date in the US.

UK fans will have to wait until Febuary 10th 2012 to see the Muppets save their old theatre from a rich oil tycoon.
