Following some big announcements at the DC FanDome event, DC Comics fans were treated to a brand new trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League, aka The Snyder Cut.

The “Snyder Cut” is essentially a director’s cut of the Justice League movie from 2017, which underwent a meaty reshoot from Avengers director Joss Whedon. The movie was not received well and led to online campaign to get the Snyder Cut film released, which you can read more about HERE.

The new trailer comprises of mostly new footage from 2017’s Justice League, including some new animated sequences, group shots and even more.

The dialogue free trailer returns to the tone and colour palette established in Man of Steel (2013) and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), utilising Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, which was previously used in Zack Snyder’s adaptation of Watchmen (2009).

Among the new additions, we get to see the original design for the movies main antagonist, Steppenwolf, a car crash sequence involving the Flash and previously cut character Iris West, Superman sporting his black suit, and a brief glimpse of Darkseid.

The movie is set to be released on the HBO Max streaming service as a four hour-long mini series. Unfortunately for UK based fans, they may have to wait longer for this release as HBO Max has yet to be released there.

There has been a lot of anticipation from dedicated fans to see this version of the film, and we can only hope it reaches them.

Justice League: The Snyder Cut will be released in 2021.
