A series of new shots from Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained have been released, showing the impeccable detail of the costumes and feel of the sets.
The shots show Jamie Foxx, looking dapper in an olive green jacket and scarf facing off against a bearded Leonardo DiCaprio and a dandy Christoph Waltz.
After the recent cast changes in Tarantino’s Southern slave epic, Harvey Weinstein has said that the movie will now feature some ‘surprise’ stars.
Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival, the American producer revealed the project will be in production for another month and told Deadline that audiences can expect to see some unusual faces appearing in the movie.
The update comes after Kurt Russell and Sacha Baron Cohen departed the film earlier this month, citing schedule problems.
It has since been reported that one of the “surprise” actors may be Michael Fassbender, who previously worked with Quentin on Inglourious Basterds.
Fassbender was allegedly spotted on set in early May. In April, Joseph Gordon-Levitt exited the Tarantino project as well, choosing instead to focus on his upcoming directorial debut.
Django Unchained centres on a freed slave (Jamie Foxx) who exacts revenge on the slave owner (Leonardo DiCaprio), who stole his wife.
The first trailer for Django Unchained will be shown ahead of Prometheus, which also stars Fassbender.
