Anticipation is building after the official On The Road movie website has released a set of cast stills ahead of the movie’s planned release in little over a month.
Movie adaptations of Keroac’s generation spanning novel have always fallen at the wayside – Francis Ford Coppola, owned the film rights to the road-trip film for years without driving it to the screen.
Even Kerouac himself once wrote to Marlon Brando to ask him to play Dean Moriarty to his Sal Paradise, but sadly to no avail.
The upcoming movie features Twilight star Kristen Stewart, looking to make a name for herself away from the Vampire saga alongside Sam Riley as Paradise and Garrett Hedlund as Moriarty.
A strong supporting cast also boasts Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen, Steve Buscemi, Terrence Howard and Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss.
