The upcoming French drama Blue is the Wamest Colour has released its official trailer.
Based on Julie Maroh’s graphic novel, it focuses on Adèle (Adèle Exarchopoulos), a young woman who embarks on a passionate relationship with blue-haired Emma (Lea Seydoux).
Over the next few years, the pair experience mixed fortunes of happiness and despair during their time together.
Winner of this year’s Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, the film has already attracted controversy through its use of explicit sex scenes as well as an ongoing feud between director Abdellatif Kechiche and his two leading actresses.
Despite its NC-17 rating in America, it has received critical acclaim after playing throughout some of the key festivals.
The film will be released in the UK on November 15th.
