The official trailer for the Need for Speed film has premiered online as EA’s popular computer game becomes the latest of its category to be turned into a film.
Aaron Paul, 32, best known for his crucial role as drug dealer Jesse Pinkman in the critically acclaimed TV series Breaking Bad, leads the cast of the 2014 action blockbuster.
Based on the hit computer game series, the story sees mechanic Tobey Marshall (Paul) trying to save his struggling garage as he becomes a racing driver for dodgy ex-NASCAR racer Dino Brewster (Dominic Cooper).
Unfortunately, the partnership goes awry when Dino frames Tobey for manslaughter following a disastrous race.
The trailer features a voiceover from Paul as he talks in character about his plans to take revenge on his double-crossing partner.
The preview also shows the fast-paced car chases that fans of the computer game will expect to see.
British actress Imogen Poots, 24, Michael Keaton, 62, and Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson, 23, also lend their support to the upcoming thriller.
The Need for Speed film will be released in cinemas on March 14th 2014.
