The internet has been set ablaze with excitement as Marvel Studios just released the second full theatrical trailer for Ant-Man and it shows our mini hero in action against non other than a runaway Thomas The Tank Engine.

Yes, the big buzz follows a clip from the end of the trailer when a model Thomas rumbles off the tracks while Ant Man battles Yellow Jacket.

This is welcome news for fans as Ant-Man has so far suffered had a troubled route to the screen.

Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) was originally attached as the film’s director in 2006, and co-wrote with Joe Cornish several versions of a script.

But he left the project in May 2014 citing “creative differences”.

Wright had previously spoken of his Ant-Man as a standalone film not integrated into the Marvel franchise, which may have been the source of the disagreement which led to his exiting the project.

The film was then re-written by Anchorman director Adam McKay and Rudd (Wright and Cornish are not credited as screenwriters, though Wright has a co-producer credit in the final film), with Peyton Reed taking over directorial duties.

The trailer will air in theaters in front of showings of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

With the ability to shrink in size but grow in strength, a con man (Paul Rudd) must help his mentor (Michael Douglas) protect the secret of his Ant-Man suit and pull off a heist that will save the world.

Ant-Man is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on July 17, 2015.
