Kill Bill actress Vivica A Fox has revealed that she wants Disney star Zendaya to play her daughter in a potential third instalment of the Tarantino classic.
When asked about the potential recasting for a third movie, the star known for playing Vernita Green in both Kill Bill: Vol 1 and 2, told NME that she thinks the Spider-Man star would be an ideal choice.
She said: “So I went, Zendaya! How hot would that be? And that would probably green light this project.”
Elaborating on why Zendaya would be a fantastic choice, the actress continued: “Because her and Uma [Thurman] are both very tall and it would just be kick-butt, and I love her.”.
Further cementing her opinion, she spoke about addressing it with director Quentin Tarantino, saying: “Hopefully now we can put that out, like ‘Tarantino cast Zendaya!’ And spark his interest to put it on the fast track. Wouldn’t it be amazing?’”
Tarantino has hinted in the past that a third instalment for his samurai revenge story is possible, and would likely see Green’s grown up daughter take on Uma Thurman, as The Bride, in order to avenge her mothers death.
It was set up well, with The Bride telling Green’s young daughter: “It was not my intention to do this in front of you. For that I’m sorry. But you can take my word for it, your mother had it coming. When you grow up, if you still feel raw about it, I’ll be waiting.”.
Speculation about a third Kill Bill movie really kicked up back in May, when Fox told The Hollywood Reporter that Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman have been discussing possibilities together.
Fans have also pointed out online that since its now 17 years since the movie, Green’s daughter would be an appropriate age to attempt taking on The Bride.
Tarantino has claimed he intends to return once he has directed a total of ten movies, and following Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, he only needs one more to be done.
