The Terminator reboot has found its new Kyle Reese. The coveted role will be played by Jai Courtney (Jack Reacher, Live Free and Die Hard) after impressing the producers and director Alan Taylor at auditions.
The character is a human resistance fighter who appears from the future in order to help save Sarah Connor and her son John from the deadly Terminator.
The role has been previously played by Michael Biehn and Anton Yelchin. The new film, entitled Terminator: Genesis, will be a new take on James Cameron’s classic 1984 blockbuster although original actor Arnold Schwarzenegger is reprising his iconic portrayal of the Terminator.
Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke and Jason Clarke (Lawless, Zero Dark Thirty) have already been cast in the respective roles of Sarah Connor and the adult John Connor.
Terminator: Genesis will be released in UK cinemas in on June 26th 2015.
