Sylvester Stallone has reportedly signed on to direct a fifth and final entry in the Rambo series.
The Expendables star will return to the action franchise in a sequel titled Rambo: Last Blood, according to Coming Soon.
The website claims that work on the film began in June, ahead of a 2015 released date.
Stallone will also star in Rambo: Last Blood, reprising his role as battle-scarred war veteran John Rambo, a part he first played in 1982’s First Blood.
The most recent entry in the series – simply titled Rambo – arrived in cinemas in 2008. It was a gritty instalment, following a group of mercenaries on a rescue mission in war-torn Burma.
Plot details for Rambo: Last Blood are apparently being kept under wraps.
