Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam is reportedly in talks to play King Arthor in Guy Ritchie’s upcoming movie about the legendary British monarch.

Godzilla actress Elizabeth Olsen is in negotiations to portray the project’s female lead, according to Variety.

The duo would appear alongside Idris Elba in the film, with the Luther actor said to have been cast as a Merlin-like figure who mentors Arthor.

The movie is believed to be inspired by Thomas Mallory’s 15th century work Le Morte d’Arthur, and could spawn a multi-film franchise if successful.

An early screenplay for the project was drafted by Trainspotting scribe John Hodge, based on Mallory’s text.

King Arthor is scheduled to arrive in theatres on July 22, 2016.
