Pop star Rihanna has been linked with a role in the next James Bond movie.
The singer has been approached by producers to appear in director Sam Mendes’s follow-up to Skyfall, according to The Sunday Mirror.
The next Bond film, the 24th in the long-running series, will see Daniel Craig take on the role of the iconic spy for a fourth outing.
Screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are said to have been working on a new draft of the film’s script with a view to begin shooting in December, ahead of a release date of November 2015.
Rihanna is no stranger to Hollywood, having appeared in Peter Berg’s 2012 film Battleship.
The Skyfall follow-up is currently in the works under the codename of Bond 24, with its official title expected to be announced soon.
