Quentin Tarantino has confirmed that he is moving ahead with his Western movie The Hateful Eight, just six months after shelving the project.

The Django Unchained director suspended the venture in January after its screenplay leaked online, but has since made a dramatic U-turn.

“Yeah – We’re going to be doing The Hateful Eight,” Tarantino declared during a Comic-Con International panel when quizzed on the film’s future.

Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Amber Tamblyn and Tim Roth are expected to spearhead the cast of Hateful Eight, which has previously been tipped to enter production as soon as November.

Set in post-Civil War Wyoming, the film follows a band of bounty hunters who try to find shelter during a blizzard, only to become entangled in a web of betrayal and deception.

Tarantino’s last attempt at a Western, Django Unchained, earned him an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
