Liverpool based dance company Movema and Afrovibes Festival have teamed up to offer the opportunity to learn some fresh dance moves from rising South African sensation Nyaniso Dzedze.

The performing artist has an extensive experience as an actor, movement specialist, dancer, choreographer and singer.

Nyaniso, 28, has forged a successful career through stage shows, commercials and recently took the starring role in the South African dance drama movie Hear Me Move.

The film focuses on Muzi, a street dancing prodigy struggling to keep a promise he made to his mother to never dance again after his father, an equally gifted dancer, was murdered at a street party twelve years earlier.

However, when Muzi joins forces with his father’s former dance partner, he finds himself embroiled in a bitter rivalry that pushes him to his limit.

Movema, which means ‘to move’ in St Lucian Patois, is a unique organisation that represents the vibrancy and diversity of British culture.

It provides a gateway to new experiences and opportunities for people of all backgrounds by providing a range of world dance activities for the whole community.

If you are new or returning to dance and would like to participate in the master class with Nyaniso Dzedze you are welcome to attend on Sunday.

You are also welcomed to the Wednesday Afro Fusion classes.

Experienced and professional dancers are encouraged to attend the whole day if they would like to perform at the Afrovibes festival.

Classes will be held at the Black-E, 1 Great George Street, Liverpool and start at 10am-12noon for beginners and intermediate dancers. As well as classes at 1-4pm for experienced and professional dancers.
