Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska have announced their return for Alice in Wonderland 2, reprising their respective roles as the Mad Hatter and Alice.
Writer Linda Woolverton is also back to pen the script after writing the original 2010 blockbuster.
It’s not yet known whether the rest of the original cast, Helena Bonham Carter (Red Queen) or Anne Hathaway (White Queen) will be returning.
However, filmmaker Tim Burton is stepping down from directing the sequel with his position being taken over by The Muppets director James Bobin.
The 2010 fantasy adventure received bad-to-mixed reviews from critics but did make over a billion dollars worldwide at the box-office.
Alice in Wonderland 2 will be released in cinemas on May 26th 2016.
