Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels appear in first on-set photos from Dumb & Dumber

The first images from the set of the new Dumb and Dumber sequel have emerged as the spectacularly stupid pair are re-united, nearly 20 years after the original movie.

Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, who play the dumb-witted duo Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, are seen laughing together in the photo as they read a copy of Carrey’s new children’s book, How Roland Rolls.

Carrey, 51, tweeted a picture via his Twitter account and said: “How Roland Rolls comes out TODAY but it may be a little too sophisticated for Lloyd and Harry! Yep… THEY’RE BAAAAAACK!”

Daniels, 58, then posted a similar image on his own account with the simple words “We’re Back!”

Both actors are returning for the upcoming comedy sequel to the 1994 classic along with are original directors Bobby and Peter Farrelly.

Dumb and Dumber To, has no official release date – but will hit cinemas sometime in 2014.
