Production of the second Inbetweeners Movie is to begin this week, with filming taking place in Australia.
The follow-up to the 2011 box-office smash will see the hapless quartet of Will (Simon Bird), Simon (Jay Thomas), Jay (James Buckley) and Neil (Blake Harrison) travel down under for another lads holiday.
The shoot will commence on December 7th before returning to the UK in January.
On the sequel, creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley said: “We can’t say too much as we don’t want to spoil the jokes for you, but what we can exclusively reveal is there will be kangaroos – and Australians. And possibly koalas.
“Oh and obviously Jay, Will, Neil and Simon providing they’re let into the country. Thanks so much for all your support, we’re hoping to deliver a film that you’ll enjoy even more than the last one.”
The pair will write and direct the film, which is scheduled for a UK release in August next year.
