Failed Green Lantern turned Merc with a Mouth Ryan Reynolds is set to start shooting the Deadpool movie in his native Canada.

The Proposal actor will hit the streets clad in red and black leather to film in his hometown of Vancouver, beginning late March.

Reynolds, 38, will reprise his role as Wade Wilson/Deadpool from 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine for the movie, which has booked two months at North Shore Studios.

The X-Men will also be enjoying maple syrup as across the country, in Montreal, cameras will be rolling this summer on X-Men: Apocalypse.

To fans of the regenerating degenerate comic character, this is all very suitable news, as Deadpool is also a Canadian.

Ryan was born in Vancouver and often pops back to see his family in the city. Last October, he was in Toronto to be inducted on Canada’s Walk of Fame.

Deadpool, directed by Tim Miller, is scheduled for release in February 2016.
