Co-starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, Gravity was one of this year’s greatest successes – but are the pair soon to join forces again?

The Oscar-winning actress is in early talks to star in Our Brand Is Crisis – a political comedy backed by an experienced pair of Clooney and his producing partner Grant Heslov.

Clooney and Bullock discussed the film in depth during the promotion of Gravity, concluding that the actress would play the role of ‘Calamity’ Jane Bodine – a retired American political consultant.

In 2011, Heslov said the film would be his next venture with the script already locked in place.

But Academy Award winning Argo came along – putting Our Brand Is Crisis on hold until the right moment came along. And, in the words of Heslov himself – “Its time has come.”

Having previously worked with Clooney on 2011’s The Ides of March, Heslov is no stranger to political films.

Our Brand Is Crisis is based on Rachel Boynton’s 2005 documentary, focussing on the campaign techniques used by President Clinton’s former consultants James Carville and Stan Greenberg within the 2002 Bolivian presidential race.

After an incredible response for her role in Gravity, there is no doubt that Bullock’s future roles will be eagerly anticipated.

Sadly we won’t be seeing Bullock on screen for a while however, with her next film The Minions (a Despicable Me spin-off) set for release in 2015 as the voice of Scarlett Overkill.
