Oscar-winning actors Christian Bale and Cate Blanchett have signed up to voice in a new Jungle Book movie.
Helmed by Lord of the Rings star Andy Serkis, the upcoming film is based on the renowned book of Rudyard Kipling, and will focus on the adventures of a young boy named Mowgli who lives in the jungle.
Bale is voicing the wise panther Bagheera, while Blanchett will produce the vocals for the hypnotic python Kaa.
Serkis is not only directing the live-action/CGI-based film, but will also be portraying Mowgli’s bear companion Baloo.
Benedict Cumberbatch, Peter Mullan, Naomie Harris and Eddie Marsan are also on board for the family adventure.
The film compete against Jon Faverau’s rival project which features another exceptional voice cast including Bill Murray, Sir Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Scarlett Johansson and Lupita Nyong’o.
Jungle Book: Origins will be released in cinemas on 21st October, 2016.
