Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’s release date has been moved forward by Warner Bros.
The DC Comics film will no longer take on Marvel Studios’ Captain America 3 on 6th May, 2016, having been shifted to 25th March of that year.
Directed by Man of Steel helmer Zack Snyder, Batman v Superman stars Henry Cavill as the Last Son of Krypton, Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
The film will mark the first time that DC Comics’ three most iconic heroes have shared the big screen together.
Man of Steel stars Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne will revist their roles, while Social network actor Jesse Eisenberg will play a younger incarnation of the villainous Lex Luthor.
Batman v Superman will pave the way for Warner Bros’ upcoming superhero team-up project Justice League, which Snyder is also set to direct.
