23 Jump Street has reportedly entered early development.
The third entry in Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill’s comedy series will be written by Rodney Rothman, who worked on 22 Jump Street.
Sony Pictures and Original Film have started a forward motion on the movie, but it is unclear whether directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will return for a third outing, Deadline reports.
The duo are said to be overseeing the screenplay as producers, alongside Hill, Tatum, and Neal Moritz.
22 Jump Street, which was released earlier this year, saw Tatum and Hill reprise their roles as a pair of undercover cops, this time to infiltrate a college to crack a crime ring.
The film received largely positive reviews and earned more than $319 million at the box office.
