Brave fashionistas who venture down the stone stairs into the basement of Quiggins, will find a hidden treasure trove of colourful vintage gems.
Go through the door marked Curious Orange and you will find Kitty, a bubbly blonde, who is waiting to take you through a brilliant muddle of clothes and costumes from every era you can imagine.
Getting lost in vintage is all too easy in Curious Orange. Between one-off dresses and pieces you’ll never want to take off, are glitter skirts and sequins suit jackets just waiting to be uncovered.
But, what makes Kitty’s shop so unique is an array of one-off fancy dress costumes for hire, perfect for an eccentric night out.
Sadly, Curious Orange is soon to close its doors forever, but Kitty is still offering low prices on amazing one off vintage pieces up until the last possible minute.
Here are some unique outfits picked out by Kitty;
Karl has achieved a 1970s look with a navy pinstripe velvet blazer (£25), with matching bow tie (£5). A stripy cotton shirt (£12) is combined with black trousers (£15) and a brown leather satchel to complete the smart look.
Lauren is wearing a classic 1950s peach satin cocktail dress (£100), which is paired with pale pink kid leather gloves (£10) and a 1950s black velvet and gold clutch bag (£25). Finally the look is finished off with a crystal necklace (£25).
