Following their excellent gig at The Kazimier in June, WU LYF are heading to Liverpool for a return fixture in October.
The band, World Unite! Lucifer Youth Foundation in full, an eight date UK tour that culminates in a show at the 2000 capacity Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
The band’s self-produced debut LP Go Tell Fire to the Mountain released in June has seen the cult act head overground.
Released on their own LYF label, the album has been garlanded with excellent reviews, The Guardian describing it as ‘Dark, beautiful and ridiculously euphoric’.
The group are also beginning to break big across the channel as the disc won the praise of French rock magazine Les Incorruptibles who stated ‘The third millennium begins with WU LYF’.
The quartet played their biggest gig to date this month, closing off a road tunnel in their hometown of Manchester and pulling in 1800 fans.
The band also made their debut live TV appearance on BBC2’s revered Culture Show.
