Wilson Minds new ‘Live EP’ recorded at Elevator studios in Liverpool is available as a physical copy on wilsonminds.com to coincide with a launch at Liverpool venue The Shipping Forecast on the same day with an in store performance at Pretty Green in Liverpool One.

Each track from the EP will be made available separately on you tube as a live video and as audio on Soundcloud every two weeks over the next few months from March 29th.

The three piece alt-rock band hail from northwest of England, lead by Merseyside, singer, guitarist and songwriter Paul Wilkes, who describes their sound as “modern bluesy dark rock n roll, with a twist of Americana.” The classy rhythm section is made up by James Brogan on bass and vocals and Carl Brightman on drums.

Their debut album I Am We Are was recorded with legendary producer Chris Potter (Verve, Blur, I Am Kloot) who fell in love with Paul’s demos and features some guest performances from the likes of Damon Minchella (Ocean Colour Scene, Paul Weller) and Geoff Wootten (The Gorillaz, Beady Eye) .

Paul says “We cant wait to get this new Live EP out recorded at the great Elevator studios featuring our best songs and also to play to our home crowd at The Shipping Forecast is going to be a great start to the spring of 2014.

It was great gigging extensively last year playing with the Charlatans at St George’s Hall being one of the highlights. We really came to terms with a sound and a bunch of songs were proud of is now a great way to put out as a live release.”
