Let’s just get one thing out the way before this goes any further. It’s hard not to talk about Wheatus without obvious references to their incredibly successful teen-movie-type triumph Teenage Dirtbag; there it is. Phew.

So, as you’ve probably guessed from the title, New York popsters of yesteryear Wheatus are back . . . although apparently they’ve never been away.

Since hitting the top 5 twice in 2000, Wheatus have released 4 studio albums on a pay-what-you-want pricing scheme, made available through their website.

The pop fuelled fivesome will be touring the UK in June with a string of dates to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

Frontman Brendan Brown explains of the UK “You were the first people on earth to completely embrace Wheatus, and when you did you gave me a career in music.”

“Anyway, you helped start this nonsense, so come down and celebrate 10 years of the most unlikely story with us.”

Tour details below:
Tuesday 8th June – O2 Academy2 Bristol

Thursday 10th June – O2 Academy2 Liverpool

Tuesday 15th June – O2 Academy2 Birmingham
