Wakestock Festival offered up yet another memorable weekend of sun, sea and star studded performances this July from surfer’s paradise, Abersoch.
With three stages of top-draw names on show festival goers were spoilt for choice, with the likes of Eric Prydz, The Ting Tings, N-Dubz, Mr Hudson, Tinie Tempah, The Futureheads, Chase and Status, Maximo Park, Feeder and Plan B all in attendance.
Purple Revolver caught up with Mr Hudson before his packed-out performance on the Misadventures Stage. This is what he had to say:
Q. If you could choose one song to perform tonight what would it be and why?
A. Young forever with Jay Z and new song with chase and status which I’m looking forward to.
Q. Where do you get your inspiration from?
A. Just living I guess, I’m quite real when it comes to my lyrics. It might be a situation I observe in a club or when driving along the high street, you see people having a row and you don’t know what they are talking about but you kind of imagine. It’s often my personal life as well some people like to write fictional stories, sometimes I start with something about me then it will kind of drift off into fantasy.
Q. Random question, What did you have for breakfast this morning?
A. I had an Egg Mcmuffin, not very exciting I know but it’s quick and easy… and tasty of course!
Q. What is the main item you would never leave your house without, apart from a phone?
A. I would have said my phone but I guess my laptop, it’s my life. It’s my portable studio, everything I need to work and produce is on there so I would be lost without it.
