V-Festival’s return is upon us and we remain as faithful as ever, with perhaps one of the most tantalising line-ups of the past decade.

Alongside rock and pop’s biggest names, Kings of Leon, Calvin Harris, Stereophonics and Florence and the Machine to name but a few, this year’s festival will host some less well-known artists.

Rising star Eliza Doolittle, who has stormed her way into the charts recently will be one of the many up-and-coming artists set to play on the V Union stage, in what will no doubt be her biggest performance of the summer.

With her burgeoning talent and two top 25 UK chart singles to her name, the song bird will surely be a treat for V-goers who are looking to predict future main-stage acts.

Psychadelic rockers The Coral top the list of the most recent additions to the V-Festival 2010 line up alongside Professor Green and Jason Derulo.

The Wirral five piece will appear on the V-Stage on Saturday (August 21) at Hylands Park and Sunday (August 22) at Weston Park, while Professor Green will perform on the 4-Music Stage and Jason Derulo on The Arena Stage.

Other new additions to the bill include Daisy Dares You, Detroit Social Club and The Pretty Reckless, whose multi-talented singer-songwriter and instrumentalist also happens to be the actress and model Taylor Momsen.

These additions are partly due to the absence of singer Cheryl Cole (shame), who has dropped all her commitments after contracting malaria.
