One of the UK’s most exciting up-and- coming pop-punk bands The Bottom Line have revealed the video for their new single ‘Pull Me Out’, which is taken from their forthcoming EP I Still Hate You, due for release January 12th.
Filmed during their seven week UK and European stint with Simple Plan, the video is a super-charged, brilliantly chaotic slice of pop-punk madness featuring live footage of their electric live performance and backstage antics, giving you a taste of what to expect from their UK headline tour next year.
Lead singer Callum Amies spoke to Upset about the track ’Pull Me Out’ is probably the most honest song I’ve ever written. I once woke up at 10am in a hospital with absolutely no recollection as to what had happened, apart from the 5inch gash across my head and a shirt soaked in my own blood. It was time to accept the fact I probably drank a bit too much. It kind of felt like the more I tried to avoid getting drunk the more it would happen, creating the term “I’ll drown, you’ll just pull me out”.
Callum continues,”I love the fact we managed to turn it into a fast punk rock song, with a high energy live video that we hope will connect to the fans we made during our time with Simple Plan. Our last singles have been a slightly slower tempo, whereas this song is like a punk rock punch to the face!”
It comes with the announcement of their eagerly anticipated new EP I Still Hate You which features the new single along with the previously released ‘Insecure’, title-track and live fan favourite ‘I Still Hate You’, the infectiously catchy sing-a- long ‘A Little Much’ plus the stripped-back acoustic track ‘When I Come Around’.
Established in 2011, the London four-piece has been working relentlessly to bring their entertaining sound to fans around the globe, channeling the soul of old school skate punk with a fresh and modern twist.
Priding themselves on their energetic, live performances and their standout ability to interact with their audiences, the foursome have already made a huge impact on stages across UK, Europe and beyond supporting a plethora of acts including Bowling For Soup, Gerard Way, Mallory Knox, Don Broco and Simple Plan.
In support of the new EP, The Bottom Line will be bringing their fiery live performance and electrifying sound to adoring fans across the UK on their not to be missed ‘I Still Hate You’ UK headline tour next year which includes a very special EP launch show at Camden Assembly, London on release day.
