One of the UK’s most innovative, credible and authentic artists Tinie Tempah builds towards the November 4th release of his eagerly anticipated second album Demonstration with the new single Children of the Sun which is out on October 28th on Parlophone.
Tinie recently returned to the charts with Trampoline, a Diplo-produced collaboration with 2 Chainz.
Featuring vocals from John Martin, last heard on Swedish House Mafia’s Don’t You Worry Child, the chart-troubling Children of the Sun is a festival filling, hands in the air anthem that sees Tinie in reflective mood. The album is already available for pre-order.
No-one could have predicted just how huge a star Tinie Tempah would become. Following the release of his chart-topping, Labrinth-produced debut single Pass Out, and subsequent smashes Frisky, Miami 2 Ibiza, Invincible and Wonderman, Tinie quickly became one of the most important performers of his generation.
Not only the winner of BRITs, MOBOs and an Ivor Novello, his debut album Disc-Overy sold over a million copies with the single Written In The Stars becoming his second UK #1 as it peaked at #12 on the US Billboard charts.
He played every major festival the world over, from Coachella to Glastonbury, to the closing ceremony of the Olympics and supported everyone from Jay-Z to Usher and Rihanna, before selling out his own headline UK arena tour.
Tinie wrote his own book, designed a clothing line, invested in a record label, rubbed shoulders with royalty, made mates with pop hierarchy and broke boundaries by appearing on the front page of The Times and GQ.
As respected in the world of fashion as he is in music, he was even invited to a dinner to help promote the British Fashion Council alongside Prince Charles and Sir Paul Smith.
Tinie Tempah is set to headline the iTunes Festival, hosted at London’s historic Roundhouse venue, on September 26th. Support comes from Naughty Boy. He will embark on his own Arena tour in December:
