Thomas George begins touring across 8 cities this month to complete the 130 shows performed in 2014 – his first year debuting as The Lion and The Wolf.
At the start of the year he quit his job to pursue song writing and touring.
In November ‘Symptoms’ album was released on his own DIY label Courage and Stone records, and now he is hitting the road to perform it after raving reviews.
The 13-track album is a mature and touching mix of beautiful vocals and guitar lines. This album is clearly straight from the heart and shows George’s story in a very poignant and honest way, but with uplifting beats at certain points in the album.
It starts with upbeat ‘Bandages’ and ends with similar sing-along ‘Green’, while the tracks in between have a much more calming and sincere sound with haunting vocals that leaves an earnest impression.
The album tells the story of George’s life: exploring past relationships, his home and childhood, friends, loves, fears and even deaths in his life.
It’s very raw, both in terms of lyrics and music but also shows his optimism for his future in the industry.
George talks about what can be expected: “A big slab of melancholy but jovial banter in-between songs to bring people back up.
“In all seriousness though I guess they can expect to hear songs from my debut album.
“This is my 11th tour of the year and will see me hit 130 shows for 2014 hoorah!
“The entire year has been DIY so I put everything into each performance!”
His tour began on the 5th in his hometown of the Isle of Wight, and then moved onto Southampton, Cambridge, Bristol, Leicester, Worcester, Manchester and will finish in Basingstoke on the 13th.
