Metal giants Slipknot are set to return to UK shores this week after a blistering performance at Download Festival last year, with fans eagerly awaiting to see them perform live again.
The much anticipated ‘We Are Not Your Kind’ tour hits Britain next week, kicking off in Manchester Arena on the 16th and ending in London on the 25th.
Their album We Are Not Your Kind beat Ed Sheeran to the top of the charts and marked the second time they have recorded this feat in the UK. Their first being with their second album Iowa, in 2001.
From anthemic songs like Psychosocial and Spit It Out to new hits, they know how to tear up venues and keep the audience wanting more; but what can we expect from the WANYK UK Tour?
At Download ’19, they showcased a brilliant selection of their songs from numerous albums, as well as giving us Brits a taste of what to expect from We Are Not Your Kind with then newly released single, Unsainted.
During the European festival stretch last summer, they built a reputation of not playing fan-favourite Wait and Bleed, picking it back up towards the end of 2019 in other performances. There are hopes that it will be included in the set list for the UK leg of the tour.
With just over a week to wait until the tour begins, British audiences will get to experience just what Slipknot have to offer, ready to prove they still have what it takes to put on a show, 25 years after forming.
We will be publishing a gig review from Manchester next Thursday – so stay tuned.
The band who feature on the cover of this week’s Kerrang, embark on their tour next week taking in Glasgow, Birmingham and Cardiff, to name a few.
