Electrifying Chelmsford four-piece Secret Company are back with a bang as their latest single ‘Lightning Parade’ sparks the fuse of anticipation for their debut album ‘The World Lit Up And Filled With Colour’ which is set for release on March 10th next year.

‘Lightning Parade’ is the perfect tease of what to expect from their debut long player. It opens with a tender approach as Scott Revell’s liquid-like voice takes centre stage and starts the story. It’s not long however until the full band kick in, raising the intensity one notch at a time – something Secret Company do with effortless ease. Ultimately, the chorus on ‘Lightning Parade’ comes crashing in and fills the air with a relentless energy so powerful you’ll be left clutching onto the legs of your seat.

Secret Company are certainly an emotive band, as is illustrated perfectly by Scott Revell’s (lead singer / guitarist) thoughts on this new single; “Lightning Parade is about having an underlying feeling about someone, a gut truth that just won’t go away. It’s meant not in a positive light of lovingly thinking about someone but more of a haunting ‘something isn’t right here’ kind of way. You can pretend that feeling doesn’t exist, try and put it to the back of your mind, but it’ll still be there and the more that you become aware of it the stronger it becomes and the more you notice it the more intense it gets.”

Secret Company are highly ambitious by their own admission and since forming in 2012 have gone on to clock up hundreds of thousands of Soundcloud & Spotify plays, performed live tracks on Channel 4’s reality show Made In Chelsea and have appeared at some of the country’s leading festivals this year including Leeds Festival, Secret Garden Party and Isle of Wight.

Having previously been praised for their ability to balance delicate touches with anthemic stylings, the quartet yet again prove that pop music doesn’t have to be faceless as their intensity comes complete with thoughtfully crafted leading lines which have led the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens to count himself a big fan.

It’s clear these guys could fill any arena with the size of their anthemic tunage and do you know what… They might well be doing just that very soon! Get ahead of the curve and pre-order the band’s debut album ‘The World Lit Up And Filled With Colour’ on iTunes now.
