Swedish-born, Nashville-based nu-R&B, singer-songwriter Andreas Moss, unleashes his new single ‘Stop Me’, set for release on 12th May via Curb Records.

Fresh from the success of his debut track, ‘Thinking About You’, which received over a million streams within a month of release, making it into Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’ Playlist and jumping right onto their ‘Global Viral 50’ – Andreas’ follow up it’s an electric anthem about the cry for help that you never hear, a reminder that even within the depths of addiction, our better half is still searching for redemption.

His music sits between The Weeknd’s glossy PBR&B, and Drake’s electronic excursions. Featuring a clear interplay between darkness and light, Andreas intoxicating left-leaning pop songwriting is combined with striking cut-up drums and agitated basslines. “I hope it connects at a deeper level”, says the soulful songwriter about what he defines as “a dark history, the stories that are under all the songs – pain and hope in equal measures. I hope people can hear it and think ‘This guy gets how I feel.’” It’s a catharsis set to soaring electronic landscapes, with Moss’ anthemic voice rising above giant beats and synth hooks.

Growing up in a musical household, Andreas inherited the family business. His parents, like theirs before them, were travelling musicians – by age nine, Moss was on tour, singing and navigating his way around the piano. Barely into his teens, Moss became a multi-disciplinary collaborator; from ghostwriting and directing music videos and short films for a growing community of artists. This fertile environment has led to collaborations with newly signed Curb Records artists, with whom the gifted songwriter has been involved with co-writing and vocal producing.

With his rootless past comes a unique set of influences, manifesting themselves here through hook-heavy pop synths and ticking percussions, which allow his soulful crooning vocals to turn any song into a raw confessional anthem. ‘Stop Me’ is Andreas Moss’ invitation to enter his synth-soaked world of relationships, obsessions and dreams. A world only reinforced by the eerie, moody visuals accompanying the single, which see the enigmatic artist delivering an intense and dramatic performance.

Having recently performed at this year’s SXSW festival and iHeart Music Summit, alongside artists Charli XCX and Big Sean. Andreas will make his UK live debut at The Great Escape in Brighton on 19th May at The Black Lion, which will follow up with a London show. He may just be getting started, but ‘Stop Me’ looks to firmly catapult him into people’s consciousness.
