Natalie McCool kicked off her UK tour last night in her hometown of Liverpool.
Performing at Kazimier, Liverpool’s Female Artist of the Year prize winner enchanted the audience with a sound that 6 Music DJ Chris Hawkins described as ‘chimerical’ with ‘eerie and fearless’ tones.
Promoting her new self titled album, Natalie worked closely with famed Libertine producer bernard Butler claiming she was ‘made up’ with her single Thin Air.
“Bernard is really great, he is very laid back; I couldn’t believe it when he laid down some guitar on my single Thin Air.” adding “He also likes a pint of Guinness which in my book makes him a top fella!”
The Liverpool songwriter said “It’s always a great feeling to play in your home city” and admits she has high hopes for her UK tour.
“I don’t like to drink alcohol if I have a show the next day, so I suppose I’ll be quite sober throughout it all.”
You can see Natalie play throughout November across the UK.
