Liverpool based electro-punk-rock trio Mashemon have assembled an excellent bill under their regular Death Tax Trouble gig banner.

With a bill comprising themselves, Das Beat, Das Unser and DJ Alterboy, the gig on Saturday 15th October is likely to be a lock-out.

Held in the mysterious rooms that form the basement of News from Nowhere, 96 Bold St, the space is known variously as Merseyside Social Centre and Next to Nowhere.

The band’s past few gigs in the space have been riotous wall-to-wall affairs, the three piece and others filling the Centre to capacity.

Headliners electro/punk trio Mashemon have been making waves over the past 12 months in Merseyside and beyond.

Bearded magazine stated ‘the duo have the knack of crafting songs that are simultaneously poppy and mildly abrasive… blending glam stomps and cold electronica to brilliant effect.’

After recent gigs supporting punk legend Vic Goddard and newcomers Clock Opera, the slot also flags up the imminent release of the band’s new single Guts.

Three-piece electro act Das Unser have begun to attract attention having recently supported A Certain Ration linchpin Jez Kerr and rising Merseyside dancefloor fillers The Tea Street Band.

Das Beat, meanwhile provide the rock quotient of the event, accurately describing themselves as ‘a five piece post-punk band who play loud, fast, short music.’

Tunes before, after and between sets come courtesy of DJ AlterBoy.

Entry is donation based and the night will be bring your own booze.
