Danish project Masasolo caught everybody’s attention last year with the debut EP “Breakup”.

US national radio station KCRW had their debut single ‘Really Thought She Loved Me’ as track of the day and the track was furthermore picked for Danish magazine Soundvenue’s top 10 hit list of 2016. The potential was obvious and the same year Masasolo was booked for the famous Roskilde Festival.

Masasolo have been featured on Hype Machine’s top 50 and blogs like Hillydilly and Indie Shuffle. The UK blog Jajaja even picked Masasolo as one of 5 Danish bands to keep an eye on in 2017.

Danish vocalist and guitar player Morten Søgaard Andersen is the man behind Masasolo, where the band works as an outlet for musical experimentation, as well as a personal diary of the joys and pains of being a dreamer entering adulthood. Masasolo has a distinct guitar-driven indie sound and could be compared to Connan Mockasin, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Mac Demarco.

Masasolo is now ready to release a new maxi single of two songs from a forthcoming album. First track “Idaho” unravels a story of the intoxication of being in love. The track explains the duality of suddenly falling in love with someone, feeling happy and lucky but also being sentimental and stressed, not being able to handle it. “And To Know This” deals with the gloomy feelings of regret and remorse of letting someone close down. In this way the two songs together constitue their own storyline.

Both songs are produced by Morten himself and Caspar Hesselager from Palace Winter.
