The wait is nearly over. Watch the Throne will be released digitally on August 1 and physically on August 5.
The joint LP tracklist has already been released, featuring cuts with Frank Ocean, Beyonce and Mr Hudson.
Otis, a track sampling the legendary Otis Redding was unleasehed by the super-duo and can be streamed at http://lifeandtimes.com/otis.
The track sees Hova and Kan-yeezy passing the mic back and forth while the American soul singer croons the chorus.
The two show the pretenders how to make a braggin’ hip-hop song, none of this ‘I got so many clothes/I keep some at my aunts house’ bull.
They keep the lyrics and flow tight and intelligent, with Mr carter spitting, ‘Flee in the G450 I might surface/Political refugee asylum can be purchased/Uh, everythings for sale, I got 5 passports/I’m never going to jail’.
Kanye keeps pace with his mentor, dropping, ‘I made Jesus walks so never going to hell/Couture level flow is never going on sale/Luxury rap, the Hermes of verses/Sophisticated ignorance/Write my curses in cursive’.
If the rest of the album lives up to this track it’s going to kill this summer…
